While I recognize and acknowledge that:
(1) Different classes of users need different sets of entry types.
(2) Users can modify existing entry types and add new entry types in JabRef.
I personally find the default set of entry types to be a patchwork that - while reasonable - does not really meet my needs. What I would like to be able to do is:
(a) Rename or remove existing default entry types. (adding new entry types is already covered)
(b) Rename, remove, or add fields to the existing set of fields _independently_ of entry types. (It appears that I can only add new fields for a particular entry type.)
Is this hard to do? I’m not a developer, otherwise I’d volunteer to get in and do something.
