# Customize toolbar icons

Is there a way to choose which icons appear in the toolbar? Some options in the dropdown menus have icons that don’t appear in the toolbar; is there a way to add some of these icons to the toolbar? I can’t see anything on this in the preferences menu, or in the online help, but maybe I have missed it.

Hi Richard,
unfortunately this is currently not possible.
However, for a lot of menu items there are (configurable) keyboard shortcuts that also might speed up your workflow.

Hi Matthias,
Thanks! I work on a touch-screen tablet quite a lot, so keyboard shortcuts aren’t always suitable. Customizable icons would be a great feature to add (although I realise this is no longer a ‘help’ topic…).
