# Delete linked files automatically when an entry is deleted

I think it will be a very convenient feature that linked files can be automatically removed into a trash subfolder when an entry is being deleted from a jabref data file.

Currently, there is the option to remove the file or to only remove the file link in the General Tab.
A move to trash option is currently technically not possible with Java.

This option seems to have disappeared, as of JabRef 5.1 . Is there an alternative option?

In the general tab, there are stil the two context menu options on a file:
Delete file permantly and remove file link
