# Escaping % signs

Is there a way to specify a custom cleanup script? I am trying to escape % signs in the the abstract field to avoid compilation errors in biblatex. I tried to use _Quality → Cleanup entries_ but see only the options to escape ampersands, dollar signs, and underscores.

By default, biblatex uses biber as a backend, and I’ve found ways to disallow biber from checking for percentage signs. However, I would rather control this formatting in my master reference database universally from JabRef.

HI,  
there is a Cleanup step called LaTeX Clean up that will take care of the percent signs as well.
