# How do I display the Publisher field in the main window?

The default JabRef screen has the following fields shown:
- Entrytype
- Author/Editor
- Title
- Year
- Journal/Booktitle
How can I get it to show (and make sortable) the ‘Publisher’ field for each and every entry in my .bib files?

By “default JabRef screen”, I am guessing that you mean the table of entries.
Go to Options → Preferences, tab Entry table.
There you can choose which columns are displayed, and change their order.
Additionally, by clicking on the column titles in the entry table, you can sort the entries (shift + click allows for a secondary sort criteria).

Thank you mlep, that’s just what I wanted. I knew it was surely possible, I just didn’t know where to find it. Cheers
