# Search in Jabref 5

The search bar in Jabref 5.0 seems to have the default setting to “search as you type”. However, my literature database contains 1000+ entries, which makes this very slow. Where can I find the setting to start the search when pressing the return key?

please try the latest development version. There have been some fixes regarding the search performance.

Remember to make a backup of your library.
