# Search Library of Congress catalog and import references

Feature:  
Add Library of Congress catalog to the web search options (alongside Google scholar, arXiv, etc)

Description:  
Jabref currently allows fetching references from the Library of Congress by Id. However, it is not possible to search the LOC catalog from the web search dialog. The Library of Congress [offers an API](https://libraryofcongress.github.io/data-exploration/requests.html) that would make it possible to have direct searching.

The browser extension should work with the library of congress sources, if you want to give that a try 😉
