# We are close to releasing JabRef 5.7

Hello everybody 🙂

Anybody who wants to test for regressions and try the development version before the stable release, is advised to do so now. Check out the pre-release changelog here: [jabref/CHANGELOG.md at main · JabRef/jabref · GitHub](https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/blob/main/CHANGELOG.md#unreleased) and try the things that are new. You can download the development (= Betaversion) from [here](https://builds.jabref.org/main/). Overall, this is a very stable release and “mostly” similar to 5.6. Of course, a large number of small and medium sized fixes, changes and enhancements have been introduced as always. Larger changes are expected to come with the post 5.7 version of JabRef!
