# Windows 10/ Jabref 4.1 keeps losing/freezing the Entry table

Ever since recently installing Jabref 4.1 the Entry Table will freeze up at random. Changing the entry type will certainly freeze the window. At random other actions also will freeze the window, and the only acceptable action is closing the application and restarting. It has gotten so bad that I am saving the file after each edit and restarting. This is clearly not workable for my 4000 references.
I am not using any of the advanced features of Jabref - I have a dirty set of references that I am cleaning up one at a time. Truthfully, I am about to go back to a text editor because it is more reliable.
My current configuration on Win64:
JabRef 4.1
Windows 10 10.0 amd64
Java 1.8.0\_161
Any ideas?

I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused. The entry editor in 4.1 is sadly not as stable as it was in previous versions. Most of these issues were already reported by other users and we fixed them. The [most recent development version](https://builds.jabref.org/master/) should work more reliable. Please give it a try and report all remaining issues you experience at [https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/issues](https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/issues).
