ThiloteE
Hello everybody, I am Thilo and I study Political Science, but also have finished an apprenticeship in Mechatronics. My knowledge of programming is mostly limited to LaTeX, some RegEx, GitHub actions, Git, Eclipse, debugging (git bisect).
I initially encountered Jabref in early 2021, because I intended to use a literature management software that works with LaTeX (and ideally also with Libreoffice and others). It had to be a program that is Open Source and works with Linux, Windows and Mac because I intended to use it for projects I shared with other Students and Researchers. Jabref fulfilled these requirements. Add to that its pleasing design and no apparent issues, when sharing/transfering library files in real-time between different computers via Syncthing and I was all for it. Since then, I was able to discover some other really nice features and once I started posting at the forum and at Github (initially because of a few bugs and questions), I felt really welcomed by the Jabref community. Henceforth, I decided to comment more frequently and spend some of my free time with Jabref and help out.
