Error while Fetching from DOI/Crossref/ISBN/etc

Hello to all,

I am using JabRef to write my Masterthesis, but unfortunately I can’t import any sources from DOI or any other service. I have no Idea how to fix this so maybe someone can make sense from the error message below:
I am Using Jabref 5.13 under Windows 11. Any leads are highly appreciated.

Hi Vin. Sorry for the late response. It seems to be an SSL handshake problem. I have a few questions.

  1. Does the problem persist?
  2. Has this worked before or has this never worked for you?
  3. Could you provide one or multiple DOI you are trying to import?
  4. Please be explicit. What other “service” do you mean?

JabRef queries doi.org which then queries Crossref. It should have most, if not all DOIs available.
