Using User story - Wikipedia as a template, it would be very helpful, if your story is written in a form that roughly follows one of the the syntax examples down below (feel free to deviate):
- “As a <role> I can <capability>, so that <receive benefit>”
- “As a <role> I want to <capability>, therefore <my minimal workflow is feature A, B, then D>”
Example 1:
I as a student have to write a termpaper/thesis and use JabRef to Import, edit and cite bibliographic metadata and also to search through PDF files (mainly scientific papers and other relevant text based research material)
Workflow in detail:
- Import bibtex entries
- I mainly use “Import by ID” and hope the entry has a DOI.
- If “Import by ID” is not feasible: Copy/paste from a (journal’s) website
- (Only if necessary) Edit the entries in the duplicate merge dialog or in the entry editor.
- Import the accompanying PDF file via drag and drop upon the entry in the main table (and thereby link the entry and PDF)
- Search through the PDF by using “Fulltext search”
- Cite the entry and some parts of the PDF in my latex file and use the “Push to Tex” feature to push to Texmaker.
