Custom export filter conditional output based on field value

Hi all,
it is my understanding that there are three ways of obtaining a conditional output in a custom export filter:

  • based on entry type, by specifying the entry type in the layout name
  • based on the existence of a filed, by using the \begin{field} \end{field} construct
  • based on the value of a field changing, by using the \begingroup construct

However, none of these allows you to condition the output to the value of a filed.

For example, I have marked all the papers of which I am first author with a keyword (“firstauthor”. It would be great if I could obtain an export filter the titles of these articles in bold, I right now I don’t know how to do it.

Any chance such a feature can be implemented?
