I have a main issue with JabRef: Suddenly all new windows open in tabs, e.g the entry editor or preferences. The main window’s size is changed too, but doesn’t even match up with the size of the entry editor. I have to manually resize the window after I made a new entry. Sometimes I can’t switch between the tabs (need to click multiple times). Updating Java and reinstalling as suggested in other threads didn’t change anything.
Does someone know how to change this behaviour? Currently JabRef isn’t usable at all for me.
Dear Simon, I have the same issue also using the same OS; let’s hope for the best!
Let me add this: if you turn off “Prefer tabs” in System Preferences → General it fixes the issue but obviously this changes the behaviour of all programmes.
I am also using Mac OS and this issue should be fixed in the latest master development version of JabRef.
