In the content selector, currently the order of items seems to be random: it seems to stick to the order saved in the .bib-file, but new items entered via Options > Manage content selectors seem to enter in somewhere in the list. A button in the dialog “Manage content selectors” to order items alphabetically after inserting new ones would be great. It would facilitate selecting items.
Is there a reason why we shouldn’t store the content selectors always in an alphabetic order?
There are scenarios when the user wants to preserve a custom order (e.g. stages of progress), which would be possible by editing the bib-file, in case JabRef does not sort items automatically.
