The problem is that JabRef does not remember my preferred AI Summary display mode when I move between papers. I prefer viewing summaries as Markdown, but I have to manually re-enable the Markdown option each time I switch to a different paper. This becomes repetitive and interrupts the workflow, especially when reviewing many references in a row. The feature should make JabRef remember that preference so Markdown stays enabled across papers and sessions unless I choose to change it.

You can try out the fix by downloading one of the development builds at index - powered by h5ai v0.30.0 (https://larsjung.de/h5ai/), but make sure to create a backup of your preferences and library file(s).
