Always importing specific fields from DOI search

Hello,

I would like to know if it is possible to set which fields we want to add to the imported entries from the DOI, automatically. In my case, I don’t want that the Number and Month fields get imported, so I have to remove them manually.

I read a similar post, but, from what I understand, the info there is a shortcut to filter an existing database, not to do the filtering on-the-fly.

Hi,

this is not possible. The fetcher always tries to import all fields it finds information for.
Is there a reason why you don’t want to have number and month not displayed?

Hi @Siedlerchr, this information is, in general, irrelevant for the citation. Also, there are many journals that aren’t using it, so, having citations with and without them makes the reference list non-homogeneous.

Right now, every time that I import a reference with those fields, I manually delete them.

Hi,

in that case, you could add a cleanup save action which will automatically clear the fields on saving:
(Right-click on the library tab → library properties)

Then scroll down:
