Bootstrap error when trying to connect to LibreOffice

Hi!

I’m trying to connect Jabref 5.15 to LibreOffice 26.2.4.2 (or 26.2.0.3) in Windows 11.

A LibreOffice Document is open.
After choosing the Programm Folder containing the soffice.exe (C:\Program Files\LibreOffice\program) JabRef trying to connect for several minutes before giving the folloing Bootstrap error:

When I try to connect to OpenOffice 4.1.15 instead the same error occures.

Do I have to install Java somehow?

Any idea how to resolve this issue would be appreciated, thanks!

Is this issue newly occurring in your system, or has it worked for you before?

This appears to be more of an OS level issue than JabRef/LibreOffice.

Is your LibreOffice installed in a directory with readonly/restricted permissions?

Yes, the programm directory is readonly.

As the issue is new, I now went back to an older version of LibreOffice (25.8.7) and it works. It seems the update to LO version 26 introduced the issue.
