Hi, this is probably a FAQ but… here I am.
Context :
JabRef 4.3.1
Linux 4.9.0-9-amd64 amd64
Java 1.8.0_201
I am following : https://help.jabref.org/en/GetBibTeXDataFromDOI
but I always get some message (french) that means it’s enable to find it.
i.e : 978-2-8195-02746
I am probably missing something.
So help appreciated. Jacques
Hi,
ISBN does not always find data. JabRef uses ebook.de and this site https://bibtex.chimbori.com/
If it doesn’t find data, you can try out http://www.ottobib.com/
DOI normally should always work.

Thanks Christoph. Will make it a try. Just a noob question : where under Debian/Linux should I add http://www.ottobib.com/ as new search engine ?
Btw chimbori looks to have problems with Amazon.
Rgds Jacques
It’s not possible to add extra search engines to JabRef, because some need special treatment to get the results etc.
Therefore we need to implement it in JabRef. There is an issue for collecting all fetcher wishes

Using JabRef 5.0-alpha–2019-12-07–673e53b
Windows 7 6.1 amd64
Java 13.0.1
and using 9782819502746 instead of 978-2-8195-02746 worked flawlessly:
