Could JabRef support Overleaf if Overleaf provide a external link of .bib file?

Here comes the feature description:
I hope JabRef could support Overleaf if Overleaf provides an external link to the .bib file so that JabRef can edit and save the changes using the client, providing a more friendly user experience.

By the way, is there a good way for students in China like me to donate a small amount of money?

Your response will be appreciated!

Hi,

thanks for your interest in JabRef! We tried working on this feature back when Overleaf was still called ShareLatex. However, we did not get it working reliable and currently we maintainers are focusing on other issues.
If someone else is interested in solving this, the code is here:

By the way, is there a good way for students in China like me to donate a small amount of money?

You can donate either via PayPal or directly via bank transfer (IBAN is provided in our imprint) Donations · JabRef/jabref Wiki · GitHub
