Could not call executable '/usr/bin/texstudio' on ubuntu 16.04 LTS, jabref 5.2

Hello,

I am getting familiar with jabref 5.2 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS after upgrading from a very old jabref version. I specified in the external programs the path to TeXstudio as /usr/bin/texstudio. When trying to push entries to texstudio, I get the message that “Could not call executable ‘/usr/bin/texstudio’.” I am pretty sure that the path is correct, though. When trying to browse for the path, access is denied to the /usr/ folder. Is there a permission issue somewhere? Would you be able to tell me how to solve this problem?

Thank you very much!

Reply to myself. The issue is solved. I uninstalled the jabref snap installed by Ubuntu Software and installed instead using the *.deb file. All works fine now.
