I’m new to jabref. When tried to build using gradlew, it complained “Deprecated Gradle features were used in this build, making it incompatible with Gradle 8.0”. Furthermore, the build was failed at “Task: compileJava”. Any suggestion, please?
What is your operating system?
I don’t know about Gradle, but Jabref ships their own version of JavaFX.
Have you tried the installers? Download JabRef latest release
As i understand it, if you use one of the builds provided by Jabref there is no need for you to change your Java version. You basically will have two Java on your system. One specifically for Jabref.

Updating the JDK did the trick. I was missing that part. Thanks!
