Groups interface no longer dislayed when JabRef is opened

Prior to version 3.6 when I invoked JabRef the groups listing opened in a window on the left side of the main window. Now it does not and I cannot find a configurable option to restore this capability. I don’t know if it was something I inadvertently did that removed this display or that JabRef changed.

How do I configure JabRef to open the group interface window when it’s invoked?

How you tried clicking Groups -> Toggle groups interface?

Just a note: We have removed the Option that the group window is automatically opened in JabRef 3.6. However, since 3.7 the Status if the Group window is stored upon quitting JabRef. This, if you toggle the window manuelly as suggested by @joerg.lenhard it will be open on the next start of JabRef

Of course; that displays the groups interface once jabref is opened.
That’s not the same as having the interface opened without my manual
intervention.
