Impore microsoft file format

I have to use a Windows computer at work. When I download citations from many journal sites, they are in Microsoft file format with control characters at the end of each line. Attempts to import such files causes jabref to hang.

I have taken to having wsl (running linux under windows) open and subjecting every downloaded ris or bib file to the linux command “dos2unix ”.

Is there a way for jabref to accept files in microsoft format?

Hi,

normally, JabRef should import these fine. Can you share some example files so we can look into it?
Can you also try with the latest development version?
