JabRef order not saving

Hi, I’m not sure if I am doing something stupid but I can’t seem to save my bib file in the order I’d like it. I would like the references to be sorted by the bibtexkey.

I have tried saving and making a new library.

I have “Always reformat BIB file on save and export” enabled.

I’ve also tried selecting “Export in current table sort order” and “Export entries ordered as specified”.

I have also tried selecting all the entries and exporting as a plain bib file.

Nothing seems to work!

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong, or if this is a bug.
I’m using JabRef 5.0

Not sure if we have the same problem, but I have just encountered an issue related with the sort order. I have filled an issue here: https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/issues/6091

For the record: this issue is fixed since JabRef 5.1
