PPA (Personal Package Archive) for Ubuntu

Every time I write a bug-report I have to activate

however JabRef changes daily, therefore it is difficult to stay up to date, adding a PPA, where I can get the latest updates via sudo apt upgrade would be nice for the costumers and also for the developers, since the immediately get response on regressions and find the newly invented bugs more quickly.

Please vote if you support this proposal:

  • I would like to have this feature, too!
  • I don’t care.

Does using the snap package (which is kept up to date) solve your issue? Or do you specifically not want to use the snap version and also want a PPA?
