It’s possible to add TexWorks among the external programs?

A while ago, there was a discussion about this issue: JR doesn't send citation commands to TeXworks · Issue #3197 · JabRef/jabref · GitHub
At the time, it was not possible. I do not know if the situation has changed.

Thank you for the information, but I’m not an IT and I wouldn’t know where to start… I hope someone more experienced wants to implement it.
If there is some kind of nightly version available from Texworks, you could change the existing TexStudio configuration and point it to the TexWorks executable as this commit indicates
Otherwise here is the issue:
TeXworks maintains a “nightly version”, but… still better… since a few days TeXworks v0.6.9 is available with support for “–insert-text” and “–insert-cite” command line options.
