Maybe it is already there: For the copyright issues I would like to have an entry “license” and displayed it in Jabref, but not only in the Bibtex context. What needs to be done to have such a field?
I could be populated with the publisher field since that gives already many critical informations.

Under the menu item “BibTeX -> Customize entry types” you find the possibility to add new types of entries or change the fields belonging to the per-configured types.
