Export list of import errors

jabref open file error.txt (15.4 KB)

I’m having this problem as well, and it’s deleting or excluding all these entries from my library, which I’m continually trying to reimport (via bibtex file created from mendeley) only to get the same error.

I opened the library file in notepad++ (if there’s a way to do that in jabref, it was not evident to me) and found nothing helpful. It did not reflect many of the changes I’d been making to the library, like converting entry types and adding additional information to other fields. Otherwise the entries all looked like they were formatted similarly, though I know nothing about bibtex or java to know what exactly to look for.

Many of the lines in the library that the errors are mentioning problems with (things like "expected { but found w’ ") are just blank, and others don’t have anything resembling what it claims to be finding. I have a library of 3000+ references that I’ve collected over the past 10 years, so updating them individually or refreshing them one by one to get new metadata is not practical.
attaching a subset of my library in it’s own file. this seems to be where most of the problems lie, and it’s also where I’ve been making changes. Most of the sources are web news articles, which is not natively supported so I’ve had to make a lot of updates to the references, but I haven’t yet done it in this version, because it seems to keep deleting my changed entries with every save (at saving after updates to entry type, I get an error that an external program has made changes to the library, and those changes are that about 2/3 of my library is being deleted. This has happened multiple times and nothign seems to resolve it. I think the issues are related, but without knowing java I cant even begin to know how to fix it.)
