Is there any keyboard combination to advance to the next entry

I have to copy doi information for a large set of entries. This could be done with the keyboard alone (no mouse involved) if there would be such a combination? I did not see that it could be customized. Thanks for any help

jabref versions either 4.1 or 4.2 or 4.3

You mean in the main table? Just press Up and Down to navigate between entries.

In the entry editor.

According to the documentation here, Ctrl + Shift + DOWN and + UP are the respective keys to switch to the next entry while in the editor. You can customize those just like other keys, they kind of hide under the heading „View“.

That said, they don’t work for me. Neither with custom settings nor with the defaults (JabRef 4.3.1 on Lubuntu 16.04).

I got it: It is the ^ or ˅ on the numeric keyboard. Klicking Ctrl Shift ˅ I went to the next entry.
This should be mentioned in the page you cited. I will raise an issue to this lack of information.

aah, I see. Unfortunately my laptop lacks a numpad – and customized keys won’t work either (I tried Ctrl Alt F for example). I’ll open a bug report for this in the corresponding place once I’ve tested it with a keyboard that has numpad (maybe my layout is the problem, though I doubt it).

I have it working in 4.1, not in the latest 4.4dev snapshot. But I can live with 4.1. I donot need all those fance changes with have raised problems with any new version 4.2, 4.3 very faulty.

the Ctrl-Shift-Down works in 4.1 even with the arrow keys and I donot have to use the numeric keypad. One problem remains: If I move to the next entry the focus of the e.g. DOI field is lost and I have to use the mouse to get it back. I would like to know how to get the focus to the DOI field without using the mouse? Once I have the focus, using Ctrl-a and Ctrl-c I get the content in the clipboard and with Alt-tab move to Notepad++ to enter it in the xml.
