Jabref 4.3.1 with Java 8 Update 221 - entry editor not working

I recently upgraded to Jabref 4.3.1 with Java Version 8 Update 221 on Windows 10. As far as I can tell, those are both the most recent versions of Jabref and Java.

I am trying to add/edit ‘article’ type entries to my activate BibTex library - when I click the “edit entry” button near the top of the screen, nothing happens; when I double click inline on an entry field, nothing happens.

The only way I can edit an entry content is right clicking on it and selecting “set/clear/append/rename fields”, then individually adding content for author, title, journal, etc.

I searched but could not find a report or resolution of this issue, and am uncertain why I am experiencing this issue. Thanks in advance for any troubleshooting suggestions.

Can you try to reset your preferences? Sometimes the entry editor is only a few pixels high which makes it essentially invisible. (This problem should also be fixed in the latest development version https://builds.jabref.org/master/)
