Jabref cannot abbreviate conference names

In many journals, especially those under IEEE, even conference name abbreviations are needed.

It seems that Jabref does not support this.

I have tried to add a conference name and its corresponding abbreviation in the “journal abbreviation list”, but it does not work.

Am I missing something? Could you share me the method of handling conference abbreviations?

Conference name abbreviation is indeed not yet supported. Move this to the feature request category.
