Jabref Libreoffice integration generating Two "References" sections

Version info:

JabRef 6.0-tags-v6-0-alpha.1–2024-12-23–72dd70e
Linux 6.1.0-34-amd64 amd64
Java 23.0.1
JavaFX 23.0.1+4

I’ve used this Jabref’s Libreoffice integration flawlessly for about 6 months over 5 or so reports. But this time it’s been generating two “References” sections after about the 5th reference for some reason.

I presume it’s scanning the doc for some kind of marker and it’s failed to detect the previous References section it inserted for some reason. I didn’t do anything to it and actively tried to avoid messing with it, even starting over again in a new document.

I’m hoping there is some simple way I can make Jabref recognize the References section its already generated to fix this issue?

Can you please test the latest development version?
There have been some more improvements regarding LibreOffice integration https://builds.jabref.org/main/
Remember to make a backup of your library before trying out the new version

Updated to the latest release from Github: JabRef 6.0-alpha.2–2025-04-27–6d0d787. Now I’m not getting a References section inserted at all.

Oh the development version … Also tried that (JabRef 6.0-alpha2.112–2025-05-18–c06f141). It’s the same as latest release - no refs section is inserted. Even if I just open a blank document, connect and insert a ref it’s the same - no refs section. Libreoffice version info:

What style are you using? Have you been switching between the CSL and the JStyles?

I believe two references sections should not be possible since Fix generation of multiple bibliography sections by subhramit · Pull Request #12309 · JabRef/jabref · GitHub.

I’m not switching. I just used IEEE.
