How to show a references list in a LibreOffice document using JabRef/Libreoffice integration

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to insert a references list at the end of my LibreOffice Writer document using JabRef/Libreoffice integration, but I’m having some trouble.
I’ve read that there should be a “Push to LibreOffice” button in the JR side, but it doesn’t seem to be available in my JabRef version 5.11.

Do I need to upgrade to version 6, or
is there another way to achieve this with my current version?

Details:

  • JabRef version: 5.11
  • LibreOffice Writer version: 24.8.4.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
  • OS: Windows 10 X86_64 (10.0 build 19045)
  • Locale: ja-JP (ja_JP); UI: ja-JP

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I think you are right about this. If you want to use JabRef 6 without upgrading your current installation, you can run the portable version of JabRef 6 from index - powered by h5ai v0.30.0 (https://larsjung.de/h5ai/)

JabRef 5.15 is the latest stable version of 5.x. That works as well.
The “Push to LIbreOffice” is misleading, it’s “cite” actually for inserting the references and “Make Sync/Bibliography” for creating your reference list.
