Links to PDF files non-functional after update

Dear all,

Yesterday I updated my JabRef installation (now it is JabRef 5.1–2020-08-30–e023aa0 Windows 10 10.0 amd64 Java 14.0.2). I noticed that the links in my beloved bib do not work anymore. The paths did not change, all I did was to install the update, and honestly I regred doing this.
Did anybody also encounter this, or did I just something worng and is ther a fix?

Sorry Lukas for the inconvenience, and thank you for reporting this issue.

Yesterday, another user raised the same issue and came with a solution: https://github.com/JabRef/jabref/issues/6817 . For the record: “check the option Preferences->File->Search and store files relative to library file location”.

If you use JabRef on a regular basis, maybe you could contribute to improve it?
