Hi - Jabref is great, but I can only use it to a limited extent on my employer’s network. The problem is that Jabref does not inherit the proxy settings of the Windows operating system. Unfortunately, I cannot make a manual configuration. Other programmes obtain the proxy configuration automatically. Is there a trick for this?
Thanks for hints and ideas.
Hi,
you can try to modify the java options by specifying it should use a SystemProxy
-Djava.net.useSystemProxies=true
In the installation dir of Jabref there is Jabref.cfg
add a line:
java-options=-Djava.net.useSystemProxies=true
If you cannot modify the cfg file you can copy it and place it another directory:
Sorry for the very late feedback. This solution worked for me. Thanks! (wouldn’t it be easier to have this as a setting?)
