Which portable version in parallel?

According to the Installation instructions:

If you want to try the development version in parallel with the stable version, we recommend to download the portable version

Should I install dev, stable, or both as portable?

I think the answer is that it does not matter, as long as at least one of the installations is portable. Is this correct?

The thing is with the browser extension using some hard-coded paths.

I personally have only the latest build installed. :sweat_smile:
