When I export metadata to PDF files (using the feature “Write BibTeXEntry as XMP-metada to PDF”), the commas that separate names from first names in author field change to semi-colons instead of putting semi-colons between authors in the PDF metadata field and leaving the commas in place.
we refactored the xmp functionality and support only dublin core in future releases. In dublin core the authors are stored as a list in the metadata of the pdf.
The easiest way to get this improvements is to use the latest build at http://builds.jabref.org/master/
