In previous versions of Jabref, under preferences/Entry table there was the ability to specify a custom sort order for the entry table. (For instance, I could sort by priority, followed by year, followed by author.) That option is no longer there. I have searched through the rest of the preferences for it, but have not been able to find it anywhere.

the feature has been removed from the preferences, as it’s now possible to do this sorting directly in the maintable.
- Click on the first column you want to sort until it’s in your wanted order
- Now hold down the shift key and select the next column, click on it until the right order is set
- Repeat step 2 as long as you want. Theoretically you can define a sort order across all columns.
The sort order is automatically stored and updated in the preferences when you change it, so after a restart of JabRef the last used sort order is applied.
