Strange behaviour on Debian

Hello,

I’m trying to JabRef on Debian 12. The issue I’m having is that every time JabRef opens a new window (like Options or Select entry type) the main window demaximizes. I haven’t had this issue with other programms. I’m running CrunchBang++ with Openbox window manager.

Edit: I’ve found that this doesn’t happen with the View event log button.

Hmm, it seems to be related to window modality. It is set to NONE on the Event log dialog (called ErrorConsoleView in code).

Can you check the integrity check dialog? You can start it by typing ctrl+F8. It also has modality set to NONE.
